TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the contract. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for maintenance management tasks, procurement of maintenance works, and appropriate maintenance works in accordance with the contract. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Imatra contract area. The road network covered by the contract totals approximately 1,015 kilometres, of which approximately 30 km are two-lane roads (Ise 2), approximately 5 km are two-lane roads (Is 2), approximately 95 km are one-lane roads (Is 1), approximately 325 km are gravel roads, and approximately 75 km are pedestrian and cycle paths. The contract is demanding.
