TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the contract. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for supervision/management duties, procurement of maintenance works, and contract-compliant maintenance work. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Jyväskylä contract area. The road network covered by the contract totals approximately 1,180 kilometres, of which approximately 65 km are two-lane roads (Ise 2), approximately 50 km are single-lane roads (Ise 1), approximately 185 km are single-lane roads (Is 1), approximately 390 km are gravel roads, and approximately 205 km are pedestrian and cycling paths. The contract is extremely demanding in terms of its requirements.
