TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation between the client and the contractor during the term of the contract. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for maintenance management tasks, procurement of maintenance works, and contract-compliant maintenance activities. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Jyväskylä contract area. The total road infrastructure included in the contract is approximately 1,180 kilometres, of which approximately 65 km are Ise 2-lane roads, approximately 50 km are Ise 1-lane roads, approximately 185 km are Is 1-lane roads, approximately 390 km are gravel roads, and approximately 205 km are pedestrian and cycling paths. The contract is extremely demanding.
