TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service agreement in which emphasis is placed on cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the agreement. Under the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for contract management duties, procurement of maintenance works, and contract-compliant maintenance work. The agreement covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the agreement documents. The agreement includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Keuruu contract area. The road network covered by the agreement totals approximately 840 kilometres, of which approximately 30 km are single carriageway Is, approximately 155 km are single carriageway Ib, approximately 55 km are single carriageway Ic, approximately 440 km are unpaved roads, and approximately 30 km are walking and cycling paths. In terms of demandingness, the contract is a basic contract.
