TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service agreement, emphasising cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the contract. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for contract management tasks, procurement of maintenance works, and contract-compliant maintenance works. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the contract area of Kiuruvesi. The road network included in the contract totals approximately 510 kilometres, of which approximately 15 km are single-lane roads of type Is, approximately 35 km are single-lane roads of type Ib, approximately 45 km are single-lane roads of type Ic, approximately 335 km are gravel roads, and approximately 20 km are foot and cycle paths. In terms of its demandingness, the contract is a basic contract.
