TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasizes cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the agreement. Under the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for maintenance management duties, procurement of maintenance works, and contract-compliant maintenance tasks. The contract covers winter and summer road maintenance in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Lahti contract area. The total road network covered by the contract is approximately 1,140 kilometres, of which approximately 65 km are two-lane roads (Ise 2), approximately 50 km are one-lane roads (Ise 1), approximately 5 km are two-lane roads (Is 2), approximately 215 km are one-lane roads (Is 1), approximately 300 km are gravel roads, and approximately 125 km are walking and cycling paths.
