TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the contract. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for supervision/management tasks, procurement of maintenance works, and compliant maintenance works. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Loimaa contract area. The total road network included in the contract is approximately 750 kilometres, of which approximately 150 km are one-carriageway roads in category Is, approximately 115 km are one-carriageway roads in category Ib, approximately 30 km are one-carriageway roads in category Ic, approximately 250 km are gravel roads, and approximately 20 km are pedestrian and cycle routes. In terms of its level of demandingness, the contract is a basic contract.
