TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the agreement. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for maintenance management tasks, procurement of maintenance works, and maintenance work in accordance with the contract. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Loimaa contract area. The road network covered by the contract totals approximately 750 kilometres, of which approximately 150 km are 1-lane roads of class Is, approximately 115 km are 1-lane roads of class Ib, approximately 30 km are 1-lane roads of class Ic, approximately 250 km are gravel roads, and approximately 20 km are pedestrian and cycle paths. In terms of requirements, the contract is a basic contract.
