TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the contract. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for supervision/management tasks, procurement of maintenance works and appropriate maintenance services. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Merikarvia contracting area. The road network covered by the contract totals approximately 525 kilometres, of which approximately 80 km are Is single-carriageway, approximately 55 km are Ib single-carriageway, approximately 15 km are Ic single-carriageway, approximately 180 km are gravel roads and approximately 40 km are pedestrian and cycle routes. In terms of its level of demandingness, the contract is a basic contract.
