TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target price-based service contract that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the contract. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for maintenance management duties, the procurement of maintenance work, and contract-compliant maintenance tasks. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Pello contracting area. The total road network included in the contract is approximately 720 kilometres, of which approximately 170 km are single-lane roads of class Ib, approximately 40 km are single-lane roads of class Ic, approximately 240 km are gravel roads, and approximately 45 km are foot and cycle paths. The contract is classified as a basic contract in terms of its level of difficulty.
