TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the agreement. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for supervision tasks, procurement of maintenance works, and maintenance work in accordance with the agreement. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The agreement includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Pello contract area. The total road network covered by the contract is approximately 720 kilometres, of which approximately 170 km are Ib single-carriageway, approximately 40 km are Ic single-carriageway, approximately 240 km are gravel roads, and approximately 45 km are pedestrian and cycle paths. The contract is of standard difficulty.
