TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation during the term of the contract between the contracting authority and the contractor. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for supervision duties, the procurement of maintenance works, and contract-compliant maintenance work. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Pyhäjärvi contract area. The total road network covered by the contract is approximately 970 kilometres, of which approximately 100 km are on 1-lane roads of type Is, approximately 140 km are on 1-lane roads of type Ib, approximately 120 km are on 1-lane roads of type Ic, approximately 415 km are gravel roads, and approximately 40 km are pedestrian and cycle paths. The contract includes tasks for the water services department. In terms of demandingness, the contract is a basic contract.
