TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasizes cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the contract. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for supervision/management duties, procurement of maintenance works, and contract-compliant maintenance works. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes the summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Savonlinna contract area. The total road network covered by the contract is approximately 1,110 kilometres, of which approximately 5 km are two-lane carriageways (Is 2-ajorataista), approximately 70 km are one-lane carriageways (Is 1-ajorataista), approximately 80 km are one-lane carriageways (Ib 1-ajorataista), approximately 460 km are gravel roads, and approximately 45 km are walking and cycling routes.
