TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the contract. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for maintenance management tasks, procurement of maintenance works, and maintenance work in accordance with the contract. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents for winter and summer maintenance. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Tampere contract area. The total road network covered by the contract is approximately 900 kilometres, of which approximately 110 km are two-lane roads (Ise 2), approximately 30 km are one-lane roads (Ise 1), approximately 5 km are two-lane roads (Is 2), approximately 275 km are one-lane roads (Is 1), approximately 115 km are gravel roads, and approximately 150 km are foot and cycle paths.
