TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the contract. Under the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for contract management tasks, procurement of maintenance work, and contract-compliant maintenance services. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Viinijärvi contract area. The total road network covered by the contract is approximately 1,165 kilometres, of which approximately 5 km are for Is 2-lane roads, approximately 140 km for Is 1-lane roads, approximately 135 km for Ib 1-lane roads, approximately 495 km are unpaved roads, and approximately 65 km are pedestrian and cycle paths. In terms of demandingness, the contract is a standard-level contract.
