TENDER DESCRIPTION

An industry dialogue and market exploration have shown that for the subarea of the local authority there is currently no efficient gigabit infrastructure with an offer of corresponding telecommunications services available nationwide according to the goals of the Gigabit Framework Regulation 2.0, and none will be available in the coming years. The local authority has therefore applied for and been granted funding for nationwide gigabit expansion—referring to the underserved subarea within the economic viability gap model under the directive "Funding to Support the Gigabit Expansion of Telecommunications Networks in the Federal Republic of Germany - Federal Gigabit Directive 2.0 (Gigabit-RL 2.0)" dated March 31, 2023, as amended on 13.01.2025 ("Gigabit Directive 2.0"). The funds provided in this funding program within the economic viability gap model (hereinafter: funds) are to be passed on by local authorities to telecommunications companies in the EU state aid law sense as investment cost aid for the construction and operation of gigabit networks.
