The Solingen cutlery industry is the oldest and most renowned production sector in the Bergisches Städtedreieck region. The “Solingen” brand stands internationally for quality, precision and craftsmanship. However, there is a need for action with regard to the visibility, emotional enhancement and modern communication of this brand. The contracting authority therefore intends to commission a marketing campaign running for three years that will strategically reposition the “Solingen” brand (with regard to cutlery such as kitchen knives, pocket knives, cutlery/flatware, blades, razors, etc.), increase visibility among relevant target groups and strengthen trust in the origin designation.
