TENDER DESCRIPTION

The property of the humanities MPI for the study of multi-religious and multi-ethnic societies in Göttingen comprises three buildings: an older building villa, Hermann-Föge-Weg 12, and, on the opposite side of the street, a building from the 1950s (G 11-A) with an extension from the 1970s (G 11-N); both are located at Hermann-Föge-Weg 11. Since January 2019, the G 11-N building has been unoccupied due to significant deficiencies in fire protection. As part of the planned measure, the G 11-N building constructed with a steel frame structure (C19ktion) is to be stripped back to the shell, upgraded in terms of fire protection and expanded. An asbestos abatement must be carried out. The façade and roof must be optimized for energy efficiency. Office use is planned, with communication areas and a library. In addition, as part of the measure, the façade of the G 11-A building (two-shell masonry construction with facing brickwork) is to be upgraded for energy efficiency and modified in its appearance in such a way that the two buildings, G 11-A and G 11-N (post-and-rail façade), form an optically uniform and harmonious ensemble.
