TENDER DESCRIPTION

The property of the humanities-focused MPI for the study of multireligious and multiethnic societies in Göttingen comprises three buildings: an older building villa, Hermann-Föge-Weg 12, and, on the opposite side of the street, a building dating from the 1950s (G 11-A) with an extension from the 1970s (G 11-N), both on Herman-Föge-Weg 11. The building G 11-N has been vacant since January 2019 due to significant fire protection deficiencies. As part of the planned measure, the building G 11-N, which was constructed with a steel frame construction, is to be stripped out, upgraded in terms of fire protection, and extended. An asbestos abatement must be carried out. The façade and roof must be optimised from an energy perspective. Office use is planned, with communication areas and a library. In addition, as part of the measure, the façade of the building G 11-A (double-shell masonry construction with facing brickwork) is to be upgraded in terms of energy performance and its appearance is to be modified such that the two buildings G 11-A and G 11‑N (post-and-rail façade) form an optically uniform and harmonious ensemble.
