TENDER DESCRIPTION

NDR intends to consolidate the existing studio rooms for radio and television based on an IP media network and upgrade them to the new technology in order to meet multimedia requirements. For the work in the LFH there will be separate tenders. The scope there is not part of this tender. Many of the systems previously involved are outdated or will reach end-of-life in the near future and must therefore be replaced. As part of a study carried out in advance of this project, it was decided at NDR that a Media-over-IP network (MoIP) based on SMPTE ST 2110 will be used. The central infrastructure of NDR-wide MoIP network has already been developed and set up as part of another project. For the on-air start of the new MCR, the first production complexes will already be sending live over the MoIP network, so special care is required when integrating new devices into the system.
