Ruhrbahn GmbH ensures the mobility of citizens on behalf of the city and connects the various districts by bus, subway, and tram. It is a member of the Rhine-Ruhr Transport Association. One of its tasks lies in the area of maintenance and new construction of infrastructure for buses and trams. This relates both to the network and to the associated structural facilities, depots, administrative buildings, and a large number of smaller properties. The planned work concerns the signal box building at the Schweriner Straße depot in Essen. The services tendered here include steel construction work, an external staircase system with access to the roof area, staircase connection to the neighboring building, shaft ladders for the new cable ducts, ladder system with two landings on the ground floor and first floor installation shaft building, canopy building first floor.
