TENDER DESCRIPTION

1 General IHK Ulm is planning the construction of a new five-storey educational centre, fully basemented. The existing building will be completely demolished for this purpose. The newly planned building has floor plan dimensions of approximately 24 m x 29 m. The top edge of the ground-floor floor is at 478.1 m above sea level (m üNN). The longitudinal façades to the east and west are glass façades, which are designed as double-façade constructions. The east façade is oriented towards the courtyard and in the floor plan runs at an angle of approximately 11° relative to the building’s longitudinal alignment. The west façade is oriented towards the street and runs parallel to the building’s longitudinal alignment. The end wall to the south is a solid fire wall to an adjacent neighboring building. The end wall to the north is mostly closed and has a slight kink of 11° in the middle in the floor-plan alignment. 2 Load-bearing structure The basement, the fire wall and the rising escape-staircase building are planned in conventional solid construction.
