TENDER DESCRIPTION

HKL-SpoA (represented by Pääkaupunkiseudun Kaupunkiliikenne Oy "KLOY") is procuring a metro track grinding machine (hereinafter referred to as the "machine") operating using the drag-stone technique, intended to prevent incipient track defects. The purpose of the procurement is to extend the service life of the tracks and reduce the need for profiling. The machine’s grinding function is powered by the machine’s diesel power unit, but the machine is towed or pushed using a rail-road truck. The machine is to be placed at the Helsinki metro depot, where it is also to be delivered (DAP Metrovarikko, Helsinki). The machine must be delivered successfully no later than within 16 months of the contract signature. The machine will be dismantled from transport under the guidance of the supplier’s personnel, in their presence, and brought into operational condition on the rails. The procurement includes, for the warranty period, maintenance and spare parts, as well as training of the personnel that will operate the machine for KLOY.
