TENDER DESCRIPTION

Fraunhofer HHI requests the procurement of a high-throughput microdispensing system that works contactlessly for the precise application of the smallest liquid volumes to planar substrates, in particular photonic integrated sensor chips and sensor arrays. The system is intended for the development, optimization and reproducible execution of bi-functionalization processes on SiN/SiO₂-based photonic integrated sensor chips. In this context, the smallest liquid volumes are to be applied with site-specific accuracy in the lower micrometer range to defined active sensor areas or sensor arrays. The specific surface chemistry and assay strategy are still under development. The microdispensing system must therefore be suitable for flexible research and development processes with changing reagents, spotting layouts and substrate geometries. The aim is to reproducibly test different reagents, functionalization strategies and spotting processes on individual sensor areas as well as on multiple chips or chip arrays. The system must enable precise, gentle and low-contamination dosing of aqueous, biomolecular and selected organic media.
