TENDER DESCRIPTION

The City Council of Cercs owns the Cine-Teatre de Sant Corneli building, located at Carrer de l’Economat, s/n, in the hamlet of Sant Corneli, in the municipal district of Cercs. The cinema-theatre of the mining colony of Sant Corneli is an emblematic building for the mining community. Initially built as a theatre and later used as a cinema, it was where most of the leisure activities of the community were concentrated. Currently, the building is classified as a Local Cultural Asset of Local Interest (BCIL), BCIL no. 964-I, dated 13/04/2005. The improvement of the building consists in resolving accessibility problems in the access ramps and stairs and the toilets, fire safety and evacuation, energy efficiency through improving the existing air-conditioning and lighting, replacing the floor covering of the auditorium, solving moisture problems on the north wall, improving acoustics, and creating new functionality for the mezzanine/loft to create a room for use by local residents.
