TENDER DESCRIPTION

At the Centre for Animal Husbandry and Technology of the State Institute for Agriculture and Horticulture Saxony-Anhalt (LLG) in Iden, questions concerning animal husbandry and animal breeding are investigated. This includes, for example, animal- and environmentally appropriate housing methods as well as healthy, performance-promoting, environmentally friendly feeding. The LLG includes the inter-company training centre and the agricultural operation. The operation keeps around 400 dairy cows, as well as 120 mother cows, 90 sows, 900 fattening pigs and 300 ewes. The agricultural operation Iden is not only a production site, but also a location for the inter-company training of farmers/animal attendants from the federal states of Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Saxony-Anhalt, and a basis for carrying out extensive practice-oriented trials. Continued education and further training events in the field of dairy cattle keeping/management for farmers, livestock keepers, employees of agricultural operations, advisors and students are organised and carried out.
