TENDER DESCRIPTION

This project management competition is organized for the award of the project management contract for the rehabilitation and extension of the Nemours media library. It includes a new construction component and a rehabilitation part within the library. The Nemours library has occupied an 18th-century building located on the bank of the Loing River since 1980. The ground floor of the building was severely damaged by a flood in June 2016 and underwent rehabilitation works in 2020 (keeping the same area). The library’s surface area is very insufficient compared to the number of inhabitants and the structuring role of the media library in the Nemours region. Furthermore, it no longer meets the expectations of a modern media library. The project must address this situation. The equipment desired by the municipality aims to create a genuine living and exchange space addressed to the entire population, whether familiar or not with cultural practices. A programming study carried out in 2017 and updated in 2023 established a needs program in consultation with the services of the city of Nemours.
