TENDER DESCRIPTION
The aim of the project is to modernise the firewall and overall security architecture, including Next Generation Endpoint Protection for the Research Association. The future solution must meet current and future requirements for information security, availability, scalability, tenant capability, traceability of administrative activities, and economical operation. General requirements for the new firewall structure: - Multi-tier firewall structure with a centrally operated perimeter firewall cluster and segmentation firewall clusters for each institute, whereby different manufacturers must be used (dual-vendor strategy) B criterion in BM - VLAN- and IP-based institute-specific segmentation - Virtual domains for segmentation of the perimeter firewall of the Corporate IT - At least two appliances per geographical site in active-passive operation - Expansion of the backbone throughput to 10 gigabits per second, with the option to extend to 40 gigabits per second without replacing the hardware, as well as loop-free network design - Number of simultaneous sessions: 20,000 to 65,000; number of VPN users per institute: at least 40 to 70 users; maximum all FVB employees (1,600…
