Max Planck Institute for Structure and Dynamics of Matter: Sanitary engineering installations Content in accordance with the scope of services (service specifications): Lot 1 - Sanitary engineering installations The construction measure “?GBM Major construction measure SDMA?” serves to functionally adapt existing laboratory areas to current scientific requirements. The rear coolers, as part of the building-wide refrigeration system, are intended to be sprayed with spray water in peak load cases in order to increase heat output. However, the UO plant for generating VE water is undersized; furthermore, due to the insufficient line pressure, the upstream feed pressure to the spray nozzles of the rear coolers is not sufficient. Due to the defects identified, a mixing unit for mixing permeate and softened water, a new pipe routing, as well as a pressure-boosting plant connected in series are planned in order to provide the water in sufficient quality and with sufficient flow rate and delivery head.
