Window glazing The gable roofs of the BTS Münster have existed since the construction of the building in 1988. They are designed as offset mono-pitch roofs and were made in a very elaborate manner in the offset ridge area with an extended facade apron made of Kuper standing seam. The numerous dormers of the rooms used for occupancy on the 2nd floor (2.OG), which are located in the area of the roof slope, were also made of copper with an internal gutter, with increased effort. Despite the high quality of workmanship, water ingress has been observed at several locations in the meantime, because the roofs have now reached the end of their period of performance after 37 years of service life. The metalwork bill of quantities includes the replacement of the sloped glazing as a warm facade of the atrium above the main entrance in the form of an Alu light-roof construction. For this purpose, an internal scaffold and an external roof catch scaffold will be provided on site.
