TENDER DESCRIPTION

A detailed description of the subject of procurement with technical specifications is provided in the Costing Schedule. For all items in the Costing Schedule or technical specifications in which a brand or source may possibly be requested or specified, or a specific process with characteristics of the product or services provided by a specific economic operator, or the trade marks, patents, types or a specific origin or production are specified, the bidder may offer "or equivalent" to that which is requested or specified. The criteria applicable for assessing equivalence are set out in the Costing Schedules or in the technical specifications as the minimum technical characteristics which an equivalent product must meet. If the bidder offers an equivalent to that requested or specified in the Costing Schedule or technical specification, then in the blank spaces provided for that purpose in the Costing Schedule or technical specification, according to the relevant items, the bidder must provide information on what it offers (e.g. product, type, etc.) so that the contracting authority can assess equivalence.
