Reassessment BW 4506973 Pursuant to the mid- to long-term strategy of the BMV for upgrading road bridges in existing stock, the structure is to be examined and assessed according to the “Guideline for the re-assessment of road bridges in existing stock (reassessment guideline), edition May 2011” and its “1st Supplement, edition April 2015”. As with any planning service, the re-assessment is carried out iteratively in several planning steps (PlaS). These planning steps are carried out sequentially: 1st planning step: re-assessment of the superstructure(s) 2nd planning step: re-assessment of the substructure(s) In the 1st planning step, the superstructure(s) is/are re-assessed. Depending on the result of the 1st planning step (re-assessment of the superstructure(s)), the contracting authority decides whether the 2nd planning step (re-assessment of the substructure(s)) must be provided. The transfer of the 2nd planning step shall be made in writing by the contracting authority, at the latest one month after completion of the 1st planning step.
