TENDER DESCRIPTION

The contracted scope includes the required structural engineering design, object planning and expert engineering services for the static structural re-assessment and the technical evaluation based on this of the structure of Stadtbahn Line 13 between the stops Slabystraße and Nussbaumer Straße in Cologne. The section built in the years 1970 to 1974 includes an embankment section, elevated Hochbahn sections with prestressed concrete box-girder superstructures, two above-ground Hochbahn stops as well as an underground Stadtbahn stop and forms part of the Cologne Stadtbahn infrastructure in operation. The subject of the services in particular is the review, testing and evaluation of the existing as-built documents, the static structural re-assessment and assessment of the existing structure in accordance with the relevant technical rules and regulations, the evaluation of load-bearing capacity, serviceability and fatigue safety, as well as the planning, coordination, support, monitoring and specialist evaluation of the required structural investigations and on-site sampling.
