National road 555 Nygårdstunnelen - upgrading of tunnels

TENDER DESCRIPTION

Nygårdstunnelen in Bergen was opened in 1999 and is 864 metres long. The tunnel runs from the Puddefjord Bridge to Nygårdstangen, with exit ramps at O.J. Brochsgate. There are 2 lanes from the Puddefjord Bridge, whilst there are 1 lanes from O.J. Brochs gate. These meet in the tunnel so that there are 3 lanes at the exit and entrance at Nygårdstangen. The annual daily traffic is approx. 45,000. The tunnel shall be upgraded in accordance with the tunnel safety regulations and equipment in and outside the tunnel shall be replaced and replaced with new equipment that meets the current requirements. This includes, among other things: • New ventilation system. • New lighting installations with both new lights in the tunnel roof and continuous evacuation lights. • Extinguishing water shall be set up for the fire brigade. New system for handling emissions and tunnel washing water that fulfils emission requirements. • New signage with barriers, lane signal and variable signs. • Emergency stations with fire extinguishers and telephones. • Camera with coverage throughout the entire tunnel, which gives an alarm during events. • New technical building in the tunnel in the existing…
