TENDER DESCRIPTION

A sector dialogue and a market exploration have shown that for the partial area of the local authority, there is currently no efficient gigabit infrastructure with an offer of corresponding telecommunications services available nationwide according to the goals of the Gigabit Framework Regulation 2.0 and that it will not be available nationwide in the coming years. The local authority has therefore applied for and received grant funding for comprehensive gigabit expansion - referring to the underserved partial area within the Economic Viability Gap Model under the directive "Funding to support the expansion of gigabit telecommunications networks in the Federal Republic of Germany - Federal Gigabit Directive 2.0 (Gigabit-RL 2.0)" dated 31 March 2023 as amended on 13 January 2025 ("Gigabit Directive 2.0"). The funds provided in this grant program under the Economic Viability Gap Model (hereinafter: funds) shall be passed on by local authorities to telecommunications companies in the sense of EU state aid law as investment cost aid for the construction and operation of gigabit networks.
