TENDER DESCRIPTION

Treatment of detainees with mental abnormalities – provision in a psychiatric inpatient specialist department at the Neumünster correctional facility. In the Psychiatric Department of the Neumünster Correctional Facility, the contractor treats, in up to 21 treatment places, adult male prisoners of the State of Schleswig-Holstein who are suffering from mental illness, independently and according to needs, and in accordance with accepted professional standards. Admission from other federal states shall, in addition, be governed by Section 4.2. The Psychiatric Department is not a hospital within the meaning of Section 107(1) of Book V of the German Social Code (SGB V). The contractual services subject to this agreement are not provided on the basis of SGB V or billed to the statutory health insurance funds. In this context, the contractor undertakes the required treatments and the medical-therapeutic-nursing treatment operations of the Psychiatric Department, but not the penal custody operations or building operations as more specifically defined in the service description.
