TENDER DESCRIPTION

Treatment of prisoners with mental abnormalities – provision in a psychiatric inpatient specialist department at the Neumünster Prison. In the Psychiatric Department of the Neumünster Prison, the contractor treats, independently and in a needs-based manner and in accordance with recognized professional standards, adult male prisoners suffering from mental illness from the state of Schleswig-Holstein in up to 21 treatment places. Admissions from other federal states additionally follow Section 4.2. The Psychiatric Department is not a hospital within the meaning of Section 107(1) of Book V of the German Social Code (SGB V). The contractual services covered by this contract are not provided on the basis of the SGB V or billed to the statutory health insurance funds. In this context, the contractor is responsible for the required treatments and the medical-therapeutic-care treatment operation of the Psychiatric Department, but not for the custodial operation or building operation as further defined by the performance specification.
