TENDER DESCRIPTION

Treatment of detainees with psychological abnormalities – provision in an inpatient psychiatric specialist department at the Neumünster Correctional Facility. In the Psychiatric Department of the Neumünster Correctional Facility, the contractor treats, in up to 21 treatment places, adult male prisoners suffering from mental illness from the state of Schleswig-Holstein independently and in a need-based manner and in accordance with recognized professional standards. Admissions from other federal states are, in addition, governed by Section 4.2. The Psychiatric Department is not a hospital within the meaning of Section 107(1) of the SGB V. The services covered by the contract are not provided on the basis of the SGB V or billed to statutory health insurance funds. In this context, the contractor owes the required treatments and the medical-therapeutic-care treatment operations of the Psychiatric Department, but not the custodial operations or building operations as further delineated in the performance specification.
