TENDER DESCRIPTION

The current structural condition of the UKMD is characterized by a dislocated building structure, outdated building-technical infrastructure, as well as long distances and outdated functional structures. There is an urgent need for action to prepare the UMMD for the future challenges of university medicine and to solve pressing structural problems. To find a solution, a comprehensive structural master plan for the UMMD campus on Leipziger Straße was developed during the period 2022 – 2024. Based on a prospective medical strategy, a capacity and space requirements assessment was carried out, which was subsequently transferred into a campus-wide master plan through structural feasibility studies. This structural master plan represents a portfolio-adjusted concept oriented to the urgent needs of the UMMD, for which extensive preliminary work, investigations, and coordination results already exist. These must now be further specified in preparation for a concretized structural implementation plan for individual projects.
