Construction of a 4th treatment stage and channel operations yard Wastewater treatment technical equipment The wastewater treatment plant Neckarsulm has a designed capacity of 200,000 PE and treats municipal and industrial wastewater. The wastewater treated mechanically and biologically is discharged into the Sulm. Due to increasingly stricter limit values for the discharge of treated wastewater, the wastewater treatment plant Neckarsulm is being expanded by a treatment stage for the removal of micropollutants (4th treatment stage). With the new treatment stage, selected micropollutants can be removed by 80% and the total phosphorus concentration in the annual mean of 0.2 mg/l can be met. By expanding the wastewater treatment plant with a 4th treatment stage, the quality of the waters of the Sulm with regard to phosphorus and the input of micropollutants is to be significantly improved. As a process, the Ulm process in the SBR reactor will be implemented for the first time.
