HD_65_2026_003 Construction of a cafeteria with childcare rooms at the Mönchhof Primary School in Heidelberg The food and childcare situation at the Mönchhof School is to be fundamentally improved through the construction of a new cafeteria and the creation of modern rooms for the childcare of primary school pupils. The existing childcare pavilion, built in the 1960s, has had deficiencies for many years and becomes unbearably hot in summer; therefore it is to be demolished and replaced by a new building. The Mönchhof School has no dining room; currently the pupils eat in a decentralised manner in the childcare rooms of the pavilion and the basement. The new building is planned as a two-storey, above-basement building. The ground floor, which is accessible without barriers, includes besides the warming kitchen and the dining room, an office for the facilities management, storage rooms, and the necessary sanitary and building services rooms.
