Construction of a nursing home and renovation/conversion of the existing nursing home for student and staff accommodation – Structural engineering services, performance phases 1-6 in accordance with §§49 et seq. HOAI Kreszentia-Stift is a traditional residential care home in central Munich and has, since 1859, provided care and support for older people in different life and care situations. The existing site comprises several building sections of varying ages and includes both fully inpatient care areas and barrier-free housing options, as well as additional uses. In many respects, the existing structural fabric no longer meets today’s and the future expected requirements for a modern concept for care, support, and living. In particular, the floor plans, room sizes, access routes, technical systems, and the energy-efficiency and fire protection equipment only partially meet current functional, care-related, and legal standards. In addition, there are significant limitations regarding barrier-free access, operational cost-effectiveness, and long-term adaptability to changing care concepts.
