TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Regionaltangente West (RTW) is a new tangential rail connection in the Rhine-Main area to improve local rail passenger transport in the Frankfurt am Main conurbation. It primarily serves to provide a better connection between the western districts of the City of Frankfurt am Main and the surrounding districts, towns and municipalities, with each other and among themselves, as well as to provide a better connection to Frankfurt Airport. The project is divided into the planning approval sections PFA Nord, PFA Mitte, as well as PFA Süd I and Süd II. This invitation to tender relates to the planning approval section Nord. The Nord planning approval decision (Planfeststellungsbeschluss) is included in the tender documents and must be complied with during construction. The subject matter of this invitation to tender comprises the following services: Construction of a railway overpass in steel (EÜ BAB A5) in the vicinity of the Federal motorway BAB A5. The steel bridge is manufactured at a pre-assembly site and, after completion, is inserted during a total closure of the BAB A5 using SPMT’s.
