TENDER DESCRIPTION

The architecture should place value on clear structures, natural materials and generous daylighting, e.g. by considering features such as timber solid construction as a load-bearing and design element, alternatively timber hybrid construction, flexible spatial layouts for later usage options and later expansion possibilities to include an additional group room. The building is to fit harmoniously into the largely level terrain and open up to the outdoor areas via direct access points. The new construction is also to meet, in the spirit of sustainability and energy efficiency, high environmental and energy standards, for instance timber construction with CO2 storage, an extensively greened roof to improve the microclimate, and a photovoltaic system for generating electricity for own use. The design of the premises is to allow use by all age groups, from U2 to pre-school children. The local authority (Ortsgemeinde) Ebertsheim therefore awards the structural engineering planning services for the new daycare centre in accordance with § 73 VgV.
