TENDER DESCRIPTION

The town of Mayen plans the construction of a new daycare centre on the municipal plot of land “Am Erdwall” in Mayen. The building is planned to be constructed using timber-frame construction. Due to the large spatial programme with 6 groups, the building will have two storeys. The design provides for a grid-based building structure, with a grid size of 3.60 m. The building structure consists of an access wing and a horizontal bar in which the remaining rooms are located. In addition to group rooms and ancillary rooms, accommodating 130 children requires appropriately sized circulation areas and an appropriately sized entrance area. The planned “centre” (entrance area, movement area) of the facility provides space for gatherings and festivities. 5 of the 6 group rooms each have a directly adjoining ancillary room (intensive room) for the care and promotion of small groups. On the ground floor, a large quiet room is planned and on the upper floor a smaller quiet room for the older children.
