TENDER DESCRIPTION

The city of Schwedt/Oder plans the construction of a service and transformation building in the west area of the former bus station in Schwedt (ZOB). The new building is to be implemented as a four-storey structural frame made of steel with external dimensions of approximately 39 metres by 31.5 metres. The gross floor area of the new building across all storeys will be approximately 4,200 square metres. From a structural engineering perspective, the new building is planned on a load-bearing grid of 3.75 x 7.00 - 8.00 m. The flexible steel frame of columns and beams will be supplemented by element-based cross-laminated timber (CLT) floor slabs. The vertical bracing of the building will be provided by diagonally arranged beams. Cast-in-place concrete will be used for the foundation. The highly prefabricated post-and-rail façade will receive window elements with triple glazing. All enclosed areas consist of demountable, highly insulated timber stud walls with façade metal sheets.
