TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of this tender is expert services for radiation protection (radiation protection technical planning and construction supervision) in the context of the construction of the Central Clinic – 2nd construction phase at the University Hospital Bonn. The University Hospital Bonn (UKB), as a maximum-care provider, is building a replacement new building for the Operative Center as the second construction phase of the new Central Clinic, in functional connection with the Heart Center currently under construction (1st construction phase). The building comprises a ground floor, four upper floors and a basement, including, among other facilities, a Central Operating Unit with 16 operating theatres, intensive care with 48 beds, general nursing care with 130 beds, outpatient clinic areas as well as CT and MRI diagnostics; the usable floor area is approx. 17,000 m². As of the current planning status, radiation-protection-relevant areas in particular include two CT rooms for interventions, three CT rooms with anesthesia, three intervention rooms, one cast room, the intensive care unit with 48 single-bed rooms (mobile X-ray work), two hybrid operating theatres (monoplane angiography),…
