TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of this invitation to tender is expert services for radiation protection (radiation-protection technical planning and site supervision during construction) as part of the construction of the Central Clinic Bonn—2nd construction phase—at the University Hospital Bonn. The University Hospital Bonn (UKB), as a maximum care provider, is building a replacement new building for the Operative Center as the second construction phase of the new Central Clinic, in functional connection with the Heart Center currently under construction (1st construction phase). The building comprises a ground floor, four upper floors and a basement, including, among other things: a central operating theatre with 16 operating rooms, intensive care with 48 beds, general nursing with 130 beds, outpatient clinic areas, and CT and MRI diagnostics; the usable floor area is approx. 17,000 m². According to the current planning status, the radiation-protection-relevant areas in particular are: two CT rooms for interventions, three CT rooms with anesthesia, three procedure rooms, one plaster room, the intensive care unit with 48 single-bed rooms (mobile X-ray work), two hybrid operating theatres…
