TENDER DESCRIPTION

The police and the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG) need, within the scope of their duties, a reliable and efficient identity verification. Fingerprint data play a central role, both in routine checks and in forensic investigations. The framework agreement for the existing equipment is expiring. PTI Switzerland procures a framework contract with an integrator for the provision, integration and operation of two systems for capturing fingerprints: a mobile system (scanner on police officers’ smartphones) and a contactless system (app-based capture of fingerprints and facial images via iPhones, connected to MACS/eneXs). Under the framework contract, the PTI partners (including fedpol, BAZG, SEM, cantonal and municipal police forces as well as Swiss representations abroad) shall be able to obtain systems and services from the awardee.
