TENDER DESCRIPTION

As the provider responsible for the emergency medical services in its area of authority, Märkischer Kreis (contracting authority) is obliged to ensure that the population is provided, in a needs-based and comprehensive manner, with emergency rescue services, including the provision of emergency physicians within the emergency medical services. To this end, the contracting authority intends, with effect from 01.01.2027, to transfer the provision of emergency physicians in the municipalities of Altena/Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde (at the Altena site) and Werdohl/Neuenrade (at the Werdohl site) by means of a public-law contract and with reference to the Rescue Services Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Rettungsgesetz NRW) to suitable providers of emergency physician services. The contract terms for the lot-specific emergency physician locations Altena (Lot 1) and Werdohl (Lot 2) initially are two years (Lot 1) and three years (Lot 2) and include a unilateral option right for the contracting authority, after completion of the two- or three-year initial term, to extend the contractual arrangement twice by one year each.
